Service Disruption: Watermain Break in Areas of Ridout St, Thomas St, & Westwood Subdivision
The Municipality of Brockton is aware that residents of Ridout St, Thomas St, and Westwood Subdivision may be experiencing low to no water pressures at this time due to a watermain break. Veolia staff are on site attending to the break.
Residents on the Walkerton Water System should continue to conserve water - limiting showers, lawn watering, dishwasher and washer use - until further notice. Crews continue to address the watermain break on Ridout Street. Residents may be experiencing low to no water pressures until crews have it fixed. There are currently no concerns with the safety or quality of the drinking water system. The water conservation request is to help maintain adequate water supply and pressure while crews complete the repairs.
We appreciate your cooperation and will provide another update once more information is available.
The Municipality is implementing a single-source organics (Green Bin) composting program this Fall. Walkerton residents that currently receive curbside collection are invited to register to receive a free Green Bin!
